4。5！！ This was my first Tessa Bailey novel and I ATE it up。 Myles is hunky and brooding and as a first responder wife， right up my ally。 I loved Taylor and Jude and Taylor and Myles relationship was amazing。 Plus a murder mystery？ Count me in。

This was a book that was very much out of my comfort zone。 I think this book was a bit too smuty for my liking。 I thought this roamance was cute and loved the mystery elment。 This book had a alot of smutty scenes and i think for such a short book it overpowered this book a tad。 It was def the prefect beach read and I loved both characters and would love to read more focusing on a diffrent mystery。 It was a cute read and a prefect beach read！

This was an easy to read， fast-paced summer romance crossed murder mystery。 I have a love hate relationship with the heroine falling for the guy within a week but I loved the chemistry between Taylor and Myles。 The mystery aspect leaves you on your toes until the very end。 I loved Jude’s character and seeing him be the third wheel during the romance。 There was definitely some steamy moments as per Tessa Bailey’s style。 I love her writing style and it makes it so easy to get lost in the story。

3。5 stars-I wanted to love this book， I really did。 Thriller， romance， spice- honestly it was everything I could’ve wanted。 My expectations were probably high going into this and I expected more of the murder mystery/thriller aspect which was honestly the opening plot point and the end。The rest of the book is “will he/won’t he” back and forth between the main characters。 This is a slower burn， lack of real development for the murder aspect， and honestly I was not a fan of the spice scenes （read 3。5 stars-I wanted to love this book， I really did。 Thriller， romance， spice- honestly it was everything I could’ve wanted。 My expectations were probably high going into this and I expected more of the murder mystery/thriller aspect which was honestly the opening plot point and the end。The rest of the book is “will he/won’t he” back and forth between the main characters。 This is a slower burn， lack of real development for the murder aspect， and honestly I was not a fan of the spice scenes （read along for a very detailed why I found a particular thing problematic）。I loved It Happened One Summer， the second fell a bit flat for me， and this was just ok。 My biggest qualms with romance writers are- if you decide to write in adults toys， lubricant， or protection options， please do not play the actual reality card so many people face of having a partner take this thing and throw it away because they deem themselves the “cure all” solution。 I was so disappointed that we breached the adult shop and had the female lead buying sex toys and lube only for the male character to literally snatch the lube and throw it away because “she won’t need it”。 Cringe。 Overall， it’s ok。 A quick read and I can see why people are quick to 5 star it but with a deeper dive， this wasn’t it for me。 。。。more

I know it’s like a trend and it’s a weird thing to take issue with， but I’m not about this cartoony cover trend， don’t ask me why， just find them overdone。 Individually there are lots that are nice， and I quite liked this one， with the colour scheme。 Anyway。 The book wasn’t my favourite。 I didn’t mind her other ones that I’ve read so far。 This one was WAY to insta-love for me， I can handle it a bit but this was like warp speed shit。 I think it could have benefited being a bit more slow burn。
